"Engrafting the Word" is a nine month program in which youth in grades 6-9, systematically and creatively engage with the promises they will make, the creeds they will say, and the key prayers and basic theology of the Eucharistic service. It is a Christianity 101 course, covering basic concepts but also allowing the youth to grasp on a deeper level liturgical actions they may have been performing all their lives. The program Includes class session plans, information about a service project component, and plans for implementing the program in any size church.

This set of 12 lessons relates the historical-theological background of the Creed to an individual's faith journey. Materials include background information for the leader, short essays on each phrase of the Creed, and discussion questions.
